We have just been made aware that because of the Royal Mail strikes, DPD is inundated with additional parcels.
We have used DPD next day service for many years and generally it is a good service. However because of the Royal Mail strikes, DPD have removed many postcodes from their service. This is because of the influx of additional parcels that would have gone with Royal Mail.
They are currently saying that there are additional delays of 1 to 3 days, but we suspect this is the tip of the iceberg and delays will be longer. They are not even allowing us to book our parcels on their system for some postcodes for 48 hours.
We are looking into switching our service, but suspect that all courier firms are struggling this winter. The delays are out of our control and we do apologise for any problems you may encounter with your delivery.
If you have any specific times you cannot receive parcels please add this to the notes on your order and we will do our best to accommodate.
Hopefully this situation will ease soon.
